Prior experience with splitboard tours and the ability to execute stable kick turns in various snow conditions are a must for this trip. The snow conditions in Tromsø will vary between spring/powder and packed snow. Each day, we will embark on splitboard tours that cover vertical distances ranging from 1000 to 1200 meters, with durations of 5 to 6 hours. It’s essential that you are capable of snowboarding on spring/powder terrain with slopes up to 40 degrees in steepness.

Certain mountain ridges may present icy conditions, requiring the use of crampons and an ice axe to safely ascend to the summit. Guidance on attaching and utilizing these climbing tools will be provided during the week. Specific experience in using them is not mandatory.
