Splitboarding Lofoten

Join us for a week of splitboarding in Norway’s breathtaking Lofoten Islands, located above the Arctic Circle at 68° north. This wild archipelago offers dramatic mountains rising from the sea and long spring days perfect for touring.
Without any ski resorts, Lofoten is a true splitboarding paradise with diverse terrain, from open snowfields to steep, technical lines. Each day, we’ll choose routes based on your skill, fitness, and the weather, ensuring the best possible experience.
You’ll stay in a cozy cabin by the sea, with time to relax and enjoy the stunning views after your adventures. This trip is designed for riders with some splitboarding experience who want to explore raw Arctic nature and ride unforgettable descents that end right at the beach.
Throughout our stay on the Lofoten Islands, we will be accommodated in beachfront cabins located around Svolvear, the Lofoten capital. These cabins are designed to accommodate up to four individuals and are fully furnished with a kitchen, living room, bathroom, and sleeping rooms that include single and double beds. Come nightfall, you can enjoy the sunset either from the beach or by the warmth of the fireplace.
After a long day of touring, enjoy the sunset, sit back and relax at the beach.

Is my level good enough for the Lofoten splitboarding week?

Prior experience with splitboard tours and the ability to execute stable kick turns in various snow conditions are a must for this trip. The snow conditions on the Lofoten will vary between spring/powder and packed snow. Each day, we will embark on splitboard tours that cover vertical distances ranging from 600 to 1100 meters, with durations of 3 to 6 hours. It’s essential that you are capable of snowboarding on spring/powder terrain with slopes up to 35 degrees in steepness.
Certain mountain ridges may present icy conditions, requiring the use of crampons and an ice axe to safely ascend to the summit. Guidance on attaching and utilizing these climbing tools will be provided on the Lofoten Islands. Specific experience in using them is not mandatory.
